Sneaky Snorkel Well that sucked.
On New Yr's Eve, I was told I was terminated. What gets me is that their reason wasn't valid. I did just fine considering how long I had been there. But think about it:
- My first day was the last day of an employee's before her medical leave.
- They toss me out at the tail end of the holiday season.
- They toss me out 10 days shy of my elegibility for Unemployment benefits.
Sneaky, huh? And just as I was getting used to working weekends and evenings... sacrifices for naught.
The boss claims she has successfully seen to re-employing anyone she's had to let go of in any managerial position she held. She thinks I can be an Internet consultant to the company. Think she's on the level?
Yeah I know I know... when pigs fly.
The consulting thing has popped up again: that my skills in tutoring people on Internet usage is much in demand. The question is where? Where are these people who need my help? Where does the trail begin for lucrative ventures into self-employment?
Someone please pass the carrot sticks - while we still can afford them
