Catching up: The mysterious sound, the boxes of comics, the stand-up MRI

On Sunday 15 October, roughly ten days walking evenly, things changed for the worse. I woke up with record stiffness and discomfort. Exercise didn't help and neither did a hot shower. I realized while moving around in the bathroom that my hip was making a noise. Sort of a crackly creak. Naturally I freaked and called my primary's answering service. He called back shortly after and said to come in the next day (a day before a scheduled visit). [more]
