The Garden of Eden

October 18, 2002

My paradise has been besmirched. Sometime on the weekend, I heard scratching at night from the kitchen radiator casing in the wall. "skwatching skwatching skwatching" Just in case, I put a couple of glue traps I had in a drawer down at the mouth of the casing, where the lid was bent and unable to close.

The next night, something was moving around in the pots and pans drawer of the stove. I opened the drawer and thought I saw a tail. I freaked. I then asked the neighbor to come check, and he couldn't see anything in it. When he whapped it with a broom, nothing scrambled. He suggested it could have been on of those mutant large roaches.

The same thing happened the next night at the same time, then digging sounds under the stove.

The night after that was quiet.

Honey

Has it been that long since I last made an entry? Well, we'll have to do something about that right away!

I'll make an entry every day for the rest of the month, but with a twist. Starting today, each entry title will feature the subject line from a virus mailing.

Speaking of ailments, I got my block back! According to the Neighborhood Deputy, he had no idea I was so dedicated to Voyager and thought I "was just a Trekkie."   *cough!*

So there was a major shift in management as the fool BL of Voyager moved to some Stargate block. He took most of the residents with him except Kes and the friends who hadn't migrated the first time and waited for our return. We're 9 strong and pretty much all friends, with two prospective additions from new recruits. I left Star Trek block at 14 homes which I built up from 4. Our nomads numbered 5 among them including the ECH block events house (which looks like areas of Voyager from the inside), so Star Trek was left with more than I had started out with and colony's eyes on our Neighborhood.

Star Trek neighborhood has its eyes on us now, but keeps missing the mark, having created a new Holodeck block and assigned someone else to run it, and offering me Q Continuum. I think they miss the point...

©DD. I know who I am, and you know who you are, and you're not me, so don't use something of mine unless I say it's okay. I made the graphics from scratch, and the web elements with a simple text editor. Being the nature of this is a personal journal, there's really no room for argument. Either you agree or disagree, either you choose to read this or you do not. Each of us has our story, the impact of the sum of parts that is life which carve the lessons into our mind. If my perceptions amuse you, then I've done my part. Thank you for visiting and continuing to visit.
