Early April Ketchup: What a week it was in cyberspace!

iCity:

Last week I had felt it was time for a change and wanted to move. I realized I missed looking out my window in the Kibbutz. Unfortunately I was 15 away from my carry limit (we call it a backpack or "BP") and 50 items in my home. Also I had found the house I wanted to move into and it said full when I clicked the door, despite there being a modest number of residents. I would be leaving a far denser building in the process.

I asked management about opening up a spot (it's really quite simple for them) and I got "I'll think about it." Meanwhile I set most of my BP storage for Seven and on Monday night she took whil I picked up. I had seriously considered leaving - I mean, I'm in the minority there in wanting to be in iCity for the experience while most of its inhabitants just buy and sell out of their homes. I actually like to walk up to my door.

So there I was on Wednesday night, with my American and Australian friends hanging out on the Observation Deck, telling them I was thinking of leaving. I was wearing what I thought was a bogus title since it was technically April Fools Day in Israel. Just in case, I thought I'd let the management know in case they were hacked and someone got generous.

The reply next morning confirmed that I had indeed been promoted to Senior iCity Guide. Boy, did I feel stupid!

I also learned that Oddy - as I will call it to protect its location - was now under new management. I was among its first subscribers in September 2002, but left in early December after sporadic visits when it was clear for the final time that the owners were assholes. Not only were old Free-CT acquaintances now in charge, they had apparently kicked out all incarnations of Dave. So back in I went.

I was welcomed all around and given monetary gifts in the form of impromptu contests in an effort to get me the Asian home (perhaps to inspire coordinating objects?). Here I was, practically a newbie, with an expensive home, no money, and to many experience points to allow me official perks (they have a surplus emporium of free items for people under 500). Within a few days (my god - someone on this bus must have puked - but who? Hmm...) I was a block deputy within days became a block leader, plus offered a gig as a pub landlord (one of their city locations). So much for low m rhem to offer the latter to a friend. He's English and he goes pubbing.

I have a second I.D. in Oddy - my regular one. I release my creations with that one since that is the name I am known with.

There is less to do in and for Cybertown now. Hop in, check out the mall, check the block residents for milestones or anniversaries, hold an event. The RAOKA's are this Saturday and I have to upload the trophies as well as prepare for the trivia - our group will co-host the post-presentation festivities. The acronym stands for Random Acts of Kindness.

I made the graphics from scratch, and the web elements with a simple text editor. Being the nature of this is a personal journal, there's really no room for argument. Either you agree or disagree, either you choose to read this or you do not. Each of us has our story, the impact of the sum of parts that is life which carve the lessons into our mind. If my perceptions amuse you, then I've done my part. Thank you for visiting and continuing to visit.
